Don’t we all want long luxurious healthy eyelashes, Yes we do!!!!!! and some of us will go the extra mile to have really long natural looking lashes, yea, that’s where falsies come in. 💁
I’m not a huge fan of falsies, I’d rather invest in good old mascara.
Let’s consider tips that work:
1) Remove Eye Makeup at the End of the Day:
Makeup clogs the skin around the eyes which is very thin already. And mascara is very heavy for the lashes on the lashes. And removing it at night gives a rest to your lashes. The same rule applies to your eye lashes as your skin as they are both equally delicate.
Also, be very gentle when you are removing your eye makeup. If you are rough with your lashes, they can become sparse and may not grow back as healthy as they are right now. Your eye lashes take longer to grow back than your hair and you don’t want to damage what you currently have.
Along with home remedies for long lashes, you must have a balanced diet. A few foods that are great to boost the health of your eyes and eye lashes are: Most fruits eg Apples 🍏🍎, Guavas 😊, watermelon🍉etc, Green vegetables (enjoy your greens🤗), Eggs 🐓🐓🍳, Meat 🐄🍖, Fish🐟 and Other sources of proteins. (stock up on your protein)
Also take your Biotin:
Known as the hair, nail and skin vitamin, biotin is a B vitamin that will make your hair grow incredibly fast!
3) Get ready to rub in:
*Aloe Vera: Break open an aloe vera leaf, get the gel inside the leaf and neatly apply it your lashes with a clean mascara wand.Leave it on overnight and rinse it off in the morning.
* Vaseline, Castor oil, olive oil, vitamin E oil : Instead of spending your money on something that could darken your eyes, why not try something easy and quick? Just a little swipe of Vaseline/ castor oil/olive oil/ Vitamin E oil on your eyelid before you go to bed will increase your lashes and will make them longer!
Just adding a bit of olive oil to your lids at night will truly help your eyelashes soak up all of the vitamins and minerals in olive oil! This will take a while to see results, but trust me, it works and it’s so easy!
4. Eyelid Massage :
Massaging your eyelids promotes the growth of your eyelashes. It improves blood flow to the hair follicles, which means more nutrients reach the follicles. This stimulates hair growth and prevents thinning and breakage of your lashes.
Put a few drops of oil, petroleum jelly or shea butter on your eyelids.
Using your fingertips, massage along your lids and lash line in small, circular motions. Massage for 5 to 7 minutes twice daily for a few months.
Note: Before massaging your eyelids, be sure to wash your hands thoroughly.
Here’s what to avoid:
* Avoid Excessive use of falsies
False lashes are a quick and easy way to achieve mile-long lashes but they can really do a number on your real lashes.
All the glue and pulling off the strip of lashes can weaken, break or even pull out eyelashes!
If you wear falsies regularly, try to limit your use and give your lashes some extra TLC by moisturizing with aloe vera or castor oil.
* Avoid pulling lashes
When washing your makeup off, be sure not to pull at your eyelashes. Being a huge mascara lover,I like mascara that comes off really easily to prevent tugging and pulling at lashes. Pulling stunts growth and undoes all the hard work you’ve put into making those lashes grow again!
* Avoid Ethyl Alcohol
Avoid mascara that contains ethyl alcohol because it’s very drying, causing the lashes to be brittle and resulting in breakage. Look for mascaras that are also free of parabens and phthalates.
