Can a piece that’s been worn since forever by both men & women, in a casual and professional ways be more than a staple? Are we such great sartorials that we can reinvent a piece as simple as a button-down? Apparently so. For 2014 Spring & Summer designers’ collections had one thing in common: the reinvented button-down. How […]
I just love how well turbans and scarfs are used to beautify and emphasize an already beautiful look, or even change the entire picture of the outfit. Girls are not playing.*snap*
While preparing to go to church two weeks ago, I needed to complete my “ankara look” by actually tying the scarf, very unlike me, my scarf is always in my bag or left at home. I felt so good and looked like a “complete” outfit , after that “epiphany”😕😕😕I decided I was going to add scarves to my outfits henceforth (and not so much as just on my head😂😂😂).
I particularly love how scarves are paired as turban to finish up a complete English look, that is Savage📸 and always noteworthy in my books. In my opinion, adding a scarf is the best way to easily make an outfit chic without the whole “trying too hard to accessorize” feel.
Try your scarf :
1) As a headtie/turban: This is what comes to mind when you first hear the words “scarf”, the ultimate save a ‘bad hair day’, “we are all tempted to try it” look. But to pull this off, you should have your hands on ways to tie your turban. Here are some looks to try.
2) On the neck: Up until my research for this post, I didn’t even know there were these many ways to tie a scarf in the neck. Feed your eyes.
3) As a belt : This method is quite fashionable, but it takes a certain level of fashion forward thinking to pull this off.
4) Layering/ Under the belt: Love this.
There are a lot more ways to include scarfs in your everyday look,
Feel free to share your scarf styles

Yea, it’s been forever!!! And boy have I missed you guys.
Today’s post is somewhat familiar with all of us, what triggered my writing was the saying about the Kardashian sisters bringing back the Cornrows.(I won’t want us to debate this totally untrue saying but oh well!)
Cornrows have been around from way back when, and never went anywhere.it is every girls go-to style when the ponytail is out of reach 😂.
Well, here are a few favorite cornrows looks.
Relax and enjoy!!!
In the heat of this weather, wouldn’t you rather go with a simple look?
“Loving oneself isn’t hard, when you understand who and what ‘yourself’ is. It has nothing to do with the shape of your face, the size of your eyes, the length of your hair or the quality of your clothes. It’s so beyond all of those things and it’s what gives life to everything about you. Your own self is such a treasure” ~ Phylicia Rashad
Hope you are having a fun weekend?

I’m one of the people that had the notion that the graphic tee is blessed to go with a jean trouser or jean short… It’s just easier and simple perfection.
Times have changed, the graphic tees and the skirts are now stealing the show.. From your pencil skirt, A-Cut, maxi skirt…everything.
What excites me about this trend is how you can look tough and girly all in one outfit…depending on how you choose to accessorize it…it’s crazyyy
Now I can’t wait or experiment with this trend.
It’s time to dig out those skirts you dunno how to “play” with…
Below are some ways to rock this trend.
Remember, try trends… Be trend spotting.

To me, denim is a huge fashion tool, it is one of those items you put in your closet, that you are never afraid to invest in because it never goes out of style, it gets “rebranded” but never out.
Denim started since the 18th Century, it was first made in only the blue with indigo dye colour (still my favorite denim colour any day though) but now Yea, it comes in Colours, shades, cuts… I never get enough of denim.
Now we have the stonewashed, faded, stretched, ripped, coloured etc that makes it a delightsome fashion item.
And what’s better than one????? Two. Lol
Can we ever forget the Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake jean couple look in the 2001 American Music Awards? No we can’t .
Rihanna has been spotted time and time again with the denim on denim look. This trend is quite interesting because you get to be creative about it… There is really no said rule besides my rule, which is “don’t overdo it”.
Yes, I spotted mine too in the 7th picture… *tongue out*
The key to rocking this look is being able to make it yours, so when next you want to go “all denim” remember to have fun with it. Make it simple and fun.
Below are some of the looks, and ways to rock the denim on denim look.
Did you rock this look? Would you like to share it… I will be delighted to see how you nailed the look.
